Half A Year Later...

So, we're wondering, what has happened over the past 6 months? Well, I am still here. I have re-focused a bit. Lessons were learnt over the summer, and a new chapter has begun in my life. I really do not know where this one will take me, but I am focusing further away from aviation (Though I have not given it up altogether). I decided I can still rejuvenate this website, though, and post what I am doing and where I am going.

What I am doing:
I am currently finishing school. I am getting my bachelors degree through Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (extended campus) and anticipating graduating in spring 2009. I actually have one month left of classes. (Embry-Riddle does not follow the traditional semester schedule; they start classes every month.) I am working as a tutor at the college and also as a freelancer. Life is essentially perpetuating, though culminating to graduation.

Where I am going:
...if only I knew :). I am planning on using my minor and certificate in Security and Intelligence for a future career. This may be easy to launch, but the little I have tried shows it probably won't. I really do not know how to approach it, though I am currently placing application now. I am also strongly considering the United States Air Force. As a colleague, Chad Cooper, said, "They will get you the clearance you need; they will train you; you will get experience; you can make a difference for our nation; lastly, you will have the opportunity to network in the intelligence community." So... we'll see what happens!

'till later,

Plans for Blog:
I hope to include presentations and papers from school on this blog site. They include topics like:

  • Top 10 Strategic Intelligence Concerns of 2009
  • Foreign Policy and the Drug War

Keep looking; I'm working on figuring out how to do that.
