Timeframe: Our economic concern falls under the top 4 high-profile, public-opinion categories. It requires immediate attention and is directly tied to its (the economy’s) heath.
Taking: Our economy needs to utilize our intelligence resources to perform three related tasks: collection, analysis, and reporting.
Standard of performance: The above stated tasks ought to be used for an analysis of our current economic state. It should further detail how proposed solutions, including current efforts, will affect our economy. Though there is not perceived collateral damage to the analysis, primary concern should be to avoid infringing on economic security. Given the negative public opinion of the situation, blowback cannot be risked.
Oversight: This tasking is clean (not controversial). The only action necessary will be for the Senate to review the report.
Jurisdiction: This taking falls under the jurisdiction of the Department of Treasury.
Priority: This is listed as my number one priority because of the public opinion surrounding the economy in conjunction with the national security and domestic implications. It is consider a high priority because of potential short term effects.
